The incident occurred at around 9.20am on the Seven Sisters Road.
One person was injured in the collision.
Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have CCTV, dashcam or other footage from the area around the time of the incident.
If you have any information that could help, please contact police online or by calling 101, quoting reference 47260032933.

E‑scooter drink driver arrested
While on patrol late evening Sunday 15 February, officers observed an e‑scooter being ridden dangerously along Grange Road.
The rider was quickly stopped to prevent any risk, where officers noted clear signs they may have been drinking.
A roadside breath test was conducted, and the rider provided a reading of 80 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. (This is more than double the legal limit of 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath).
They were swiftly arrested and later charged for drink driving, holding no insurance or valid licence for the vehicle they were operating, as well as possession of Class B drugs.
Riding an e‑scooter in a dangerous manner whether due to alcohol, drugs, or any other impairment will result in the same enforcement action as driving a car or any other mechanically propelled vehicle.
Operation Downsway
As part of our ongoing commitment to helping to keep roads safe for all users, police in Eastbourne have been carrying out visible patrols across the area to tackle the 'Fatal Five' driving offences.
Officers were deployed last week in areas of Langney, using a speed detection devices following concerns raised by residents about motorists regularly exceeding the speed limit.
Within the space of an hour, officers stopped three drivers who were travelling above the 30mph limit, as a result TORs (traffic offences report/s) were issued and appropriate action will be taken in due course.
Find out more about our commitment to reducing the number of fatal collisons on the roads of Sussex each year, and updates from our new 'Fatal Five' Unit online here.
